How can "San Diego", shown as a first generation offspring of "" Tiffany", introduced in 1937 when "Tiffany" wasn't introduced until 1954?

Mine is also VERY tall! I had to get on a step ladder to cut the highest rose. I would guess it gets to about 8' tall here in Southern California. It has become one of my favorites as the blooms are soooo lovely and fragrant.

I live in Kansas City, Kansas and planted mine 4 years ago on the southern side of my house in a sheltered nook.

Tiffany should please anyone, except those looking for perfect pointy hybrid tea form, since it's blooms are a little softer shaped and could be a bit fuller. Tiffany has the most lovely scent along with its gorgeous shade of shell-pink blushed gold (like the lip of a conch), and is very vigorous and free-blooming. I grew it in MA, and spray weekly to every other week as needed. A wonderful rose that fully deserves its years of lasting popularity!
