Bloom:
Russet - pink, lighter reverse. Moderate fragrance. Average diameter 3". Large, full (26-40 petals), borne mostly solitary bloom form. Prolific, blooms in flushes throughout the season.
Habit:
Medium, dense, upright, well-branched. Medium, glossy, dark green foliage. 3 to 9 leaflets.
Growing:
USDA zone 6a and warmer. Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower, garden or specimen. Vigorous. flowers drop off cleanly. Disease susceptibility: disease resistant.

This variety was developed by myself, Wendy R. White, under controlled conditions in a greenhouse in Rowley, Mass., by crossing the following two rose cultivars: an unnamed and unintroduced seedling from this same breeding program as seed parent `SAVapam` as pollen parent. The new plant was selected as a seedling in the mid-winter of 2003.
Notes:
Fully double, light pink blended blooms on top of well balanced, evenly branching plant.
Gem O' the Rockies was chosen as the rose to be given to all the attendees at the National Rose Convention in Denver, Colorado, in June of 2008
