What a fun rose! Bloom looks very pernetiana, plant in the pics appears direct from Scarlet Knight. Interesting lineage! Does this one still exist? Did anyone use it further in breeding?

Brown to the ground, first winter, zone 5b. Might still come back, but April 19th it's fully brown. Fingers crossed.

This indeed looks like Madame Plantier (at least it seems very similar to the one I got for my mother). I wonder how tall and wide this rose is in your garden now? I also garden in zone 6a. Thank you!
