do somebody has experiences with breeding with Hybrid Spinosissima (Standwell perpetual)
or with polar eis (rugosa) ? Especially what is about the fertility of the pollen ?
Does may be exist a list with fertility-result from different pollen ?
I start my first year in breeding with pollen and stigma and would appreciate very much to get help an input.. Wildrose and historic roses are most in my garden. Many thanks from switzerland.

Stanwell Perpetual is sterile; cannot breed from pollen; must root it. Good luck.

Stanwell Perpetual is moderately fertile as pollen parent. Seedlings have been produced using it's pollen.

Have a look at Paula Vapelle, a very nice descendant.

What a great rose this is. Almost continuous bloom, and I personally love the smallish, near-white flowers with a button eye--very cute!! And WOW, the fragrance! The very sweet fragrance is absolutely second to none. Extremely disease resistant. A grouping of these would be extraordinary.

At Azalea House and in Yonder Garden 'Stanwell Perpetual' has never shown blackspot or mildew. This was one of Gertrude Jekyl's favorite Roses. She suggested planting three together in a triangle to create more vertical growth and to prune in early spring for better repeat.
