In Australia WEKcalroc is known as 'Rodeo Clown'. Sorry if this has already been noted somewhere.

My George burn rose started to grow a vine like branch at the base of it. I have let it grow to like 14 inches. I really looks like a vine? Not so much a branch.. It does have the 5 leaves on it all the way down. They just look a little different. Anybody got any ideas on what it is and why??

Likely a sucker (growing off the root stock which is likely different than the rose bush). - Cut it because it stunts the growth of the bush and will never flower.
