Martina.........

They have a NURSERY listing on HMF. Is there any way you could encourage the nursery to update their rose inventory listing on HMF ? It really is quite easy.

There are so many nurseries listed on HMF, we truly need the nurseries to maintain their current inventory as it is impossible for us to maintain these listings from around the world. It would be a very big help and would serve both the nursery and the site user.

Smiles,
Lyn

We carry this rose and we have maintained our website - just to note.

Thank you! The site would be so much more valuable if more listing nurseries followed your example. You and your efforts are appreciated! I wish I could import from you as you list several roses which interest me. Minerva is one. The Sharon of "Sharon's Love", from which this rose was bred, is a very old friend of mine. Minerva looks quite nice.

We understand and we hardly try to make possible export to overseas. It is not easy, because roses are sometimes get "locked" in the customs. Some customers from Canada import via the UK. We don't know, however, whether such handling is helpful for US-Customers.

Much appreciated. Unfortunately, our country has tried very hard to make importing impossible and extremely expensive. It doesn't prevent my drooling over your wonderful list, though!

I am thrilled you are commercially offering several of the "found" roses I sent to The Netherlands in hopes of perhaps finding proper identifications for. California had much wealth very early in its development due to land, cattle and gold. New European roses were very frequently available here in nurseries shortly after their European introductions. Roses such as Old Town Novato, de la Vina Mystery Rose and Benny Lopez surely must have come from Europe and lost their identities through the years here. Bierkreek has several others which are wonderful roses in this climate and have been "discovered" in multiple locations under different study names. I sincerely hope someone there who has access to historic collections might be able to finally restore the proper names to these outstanding survivors.

I'm also thrilled to see my cherished friend, Ralph Moore, hybrid "MORsoucrest" on your list. It is a glorious shrub here, ever blooming, intensely fragrant and rudely healthy in our climate. Finding my seedling, Purple Buttons, on your list was also quite exciting. I hope all of these sell and perform very well for you. Thank you!

I am delighted, really "over the moon". We are in close contact with Hans from Bierkreek and as we are conservators in cooperation with Sangerhausen, we try to find out and pinpoint the origin. Any information is helpful and very much appreciated. We love your comments on several roses to get on the right track. Many thanks for your encouragement. And, by the way, we share your enthusiasm for Mr. Moore.

I, too, would like to thank you for maintaining the rose inventory for your nursery. As HMF has grown and has become more international, the task of maintaining a nursery's inventory has simply become something that must be handled by the nurseries themselves.

The Webmaster for HMF has designed the upload and maintenance of inventories to be quite easy and does not require more computer knowledge than is necessary for a gardener using the site to upload their plant list.

I have heard that proper maintenance of the nursery inventory has actually been said to increase sales. Not a bad trade off for a bit of work.

Smiles,
Lyn
