Bloom:
Pink blend, lighter reverse. Flowering only at the tips of canes or laterals. Cordate petal shape. Pedicel stiff, prickly-glandular. Elongated receptacle. 23 petals. Average diameter 3.25". Flat bloom form.
Habit:
Height: up to 39" (up to 100cm).

Notes:
Possibly 'Portlandica'
Foliage: sparse. New leaves have a pinky-brown tint to the underside. Smooth, both upper and lower surfaces. Prickles: the new young prickles have this same tint. Stipule: Pedicelate glandular. Narrowing in the middle where the edges turn under towards the leaf rachis. Auricles: widely diverging Prickles: Many, small and varying sizes, scattered. Prickles are more downward curving than Redoute’s cover illustration of 'Portlandica' thorns which are almost horizontal. They do rub off
