Origin:
Bred by Alister Clark (1864-1949) (Australia, 1928).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1929 as 'Peggy Bell'.

Bloom:
Carmine pink, which often gets quite hard..  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Spreading, well-branched.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).

Patent status unknown (to HelpMeFind).

Notes:
The salmon pink rose in Australian commerce does not appear to be the original carmine pink rose. The original 'Peggy Bell' was often said to be a similar colouring to 'Betty Uprichard', and 'Tallyho'. Refer to the early references.
