Bloom:
Purple and red.  Strong, damask fragrance.  up to 50 petals.  Average diameter 2.5".  Very full (41+ petals) bloom form.  Spring or summer flush with scattered later bloom.

Compact, dense, suckers on its own roots.  

Height: 3' to 4' (90 to 120cm).  Width: up to 30" (up to 75cm).

USDA zone 4b through 9b.  Shade tolerant.

Some gardeners report continuous bloom while others report repeated flushes. Bloom size varies.
The Swedish Rose Society recommends Rose de Rescht for northern Sweden.
"Resht" and "Rasht" are transliterations of the name of a Iranian city located near the Caspian Sea.
