Messrs. Thomas Cripps and Son beg to announce that the undermentioned new varieties are now ready for distribution; which, owing to a failure in propagating, they were unable to send out last May as intended, viz.:
Clematis Purpurea Elegans (T. Cripps & Son). — Of the lanuginosa type; flowers large, fine form; colour deep violet-purple, well contrasted by its light-coloured filaments and pinkish-brown anthers.  A decided acquisition,probably the finest of its class ever offered. First-class Certificate, South Kensington.  Price 21each.
