First bud opened today! Two more buds almost ready. I find the fragrance of Golden Opportunity to be very strong and fruity - quite similar Autumn Sunset and Westerland. Wicked, spiny prickles! Uploaded 4 photos today.

I just uploaded two photos of Golden Opportunity's first flower bud. A couple others are forming as well. The plant itself is about 2 to 2.5 inches tall. It's still relatively healthy, with just a smattering of blackspot. I'm very happy with it's health and growth so far.

I am pleasantly surprised by the fact that GO is showing no signs of blackspot on its glossy leaves. Still no flower buds, but it's growing nicely. Will try to get another photo this weekend.

I'm impressed, so far. Shiny leaves with no blackspot, in my humid blackspot-prone Baltimore, MD garden. Much cleaner than most of my roses. New shoots look very healthy. Prickles look spiny at this stage of growth. Very happy with the foliage; can't wait to see a bloom. I think I will try to root a cutting of GO at some point - I'm uncomfortable with budded roses, and I don't need a Dr. Huey in my garden.
