Lawranceana Roses
[From The Old Rose Adventurer, by Brent Dickerson, p. 506: The author cites information from different sources -- here are some highlights] The varieties form pretty objects cultivated in pots, rarely exceeding a foot in height... Lawrencias are the direct predecessors of today's typical Miniature Roses, and constitute a subrace of China Roses.

[From A Heritage of Roses, by Hazel le Rougetel, p. 45:] 'Fairy Roses' [Lawrencianas]... were soon incorporated in the rose garden, used instead of box or turf for edging gravel walks and supplying buds from April to November.
