Cutting flower: not the best. BUT Landscape rose: YES! Color: WOW! Disease resistance: Very good.

The color is nice, but other than that there's not much to like about Midas Touch. It only blooms at the top, form isn't good, and the blooms are proportionately small to the gigantic bush. The spring flush is excellent, but the rest of the season is ehh. Blooms in summer are light yellow with barely any petals in the heat of CA.

My very first bloom from a first year, own-root plant came in at 6". My only problem with it is its name which suggests a golden color. Not so. Gorgeous deep, clear, and vibrant yellow that lights up garden. Great form with high center. Very disease resistant here on the Oregon Coast, which says a lot. It has needed no spraying in contrast to several of my others. Not that much scent, but hey, it's a first attempt. Has lasted in vase a good while but color has faded somewhat. I'm very pleased with Midas.

Yeah, its healthy in the Portland Metro, too. Shocking, since it came from the disease magnet, heat-loving 'Brandy'.

It's a very good informal rose here in Oregon. Easy to grow. Bright. Healthy. Moderate rebloom. Only downside is the so-so form and that it tends to bloom at its top horizon. Its medium-tall, so it makes sort of a line of bright gold about chest high.

This rose is quite easy to grow and is eye-catching beautiful in the landscape because the super-bright,abundant flowers are held high on the plant. I don't have to spray it much at all for disease.... Just an overall excellent rose. Though as a cut flower, it doesn't last very long in the vase.
