USDA zone 3b through 8b. Can be used for cut flower or garden. Shade tolerant. Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood.. Prune after flowering is finished.

Notes:
Early descriptions of the 'Red Rose' are usually of 'Officinalis' and not of the single-bloomed species.
