    Peter Beales catalogue (1979) says the unnamed seedling was a Bettina seedling

    Must have been bred by Peter Beales as Amanda would have been just 12 when it was introduced.

    Thanks Cambridgelad. That seems logical. Breeder corrected from Amanda to Peter.
