Grandes, doubles et en coupe… s’épanouissent en juin sur un rosier de hauteur moyenne, au feuillage fin. 1840. Probablement rosier gallique x rosier de Chine.

Verrier does the same...Its almost completely white colour does not seem to allow such a classification. It is preferable to keep to the catalogues of the era which place it among uncertain hybrids ("hybrides incertaines") (Vibert, catal. 1845, no. 786) or to maintain as a hybrid china (Dickerson).
