How tall does this plant get in a hot climate? How prickly is it? It caught my eye through similarities with "Overhill Pink", but that grows to 2m + (7') in zone 9b, with long brittle canes that really need a support structure. Strong sweet/musk scent, very prickly.

Bloom colour is in line with "Overhill Pink" but Curly Pink only grows to around one metre. Prickle photo uploaded.

Surely the 1958 reference "Brownell, '45" is a typo. All the references give the year as 1948. e.g. MR12, Page 111.
