Bred by Dr. Walter Van Fleet (United States, 1905).
Introduced in United States by Lovett's Nursery (J.T. Lovett) in 1917 as 'Alida Lovett'.

Climber, Hybrid Wichurana, Large-Flowered Climber.  
Bloom:
Seashell-pink, light yellow undertones.  Mild fragrance.  20 to 40 petals.  Average diameter 3.5".  Large, very double, in small clusters bloom form.  Once-blooming spring or summer.  
Habit:
Climbing.  

Height: 11½' to 13'1" (350 to 400cm).  Width: 10' (305cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Hardy.  very vigorous.  shade tolerant.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  Prune after flowering is finished.
