'Duchesse d'Abrantès' rose Reviews & Comments

The photos posted for 'Duchesse d'Abrantès' show a number of different roses. Commonest is a many-petaled, medium to light pink, flattish bloom with a button eye. (This resembles the rose I know as 'James Mitchell'.) Then, from Meetza, a large-petaled soft purple Moss; from Rosaplant, a dark purple bloom with lighter reverse, and a second photo of a bloom of a surprising shade of scarlet. I have no idea which, if any, of these roses is 'Duchesse d'Abrantès', but wanted to point out the confusion in the photos.

The correct spelling is 'Duchesse d'Abrantès', named after Laure Junot d'Abrantès, duchesse d'Abrantès (1784-1838).
