The original 'Zwergkönig', raised by Wilhelm Kordes in 1954, was the darkest of the Miniature, its ruffled flowers an almost black-red.

Zwerkonig (Dwarf King, 1957, Kordes). Another of the early minis. The open style crimson blooms are about 3.5cms across and come in clusters of 3 or 4 growing on a compact plant of about 30cms.
