Aroma. (1st year) Growth good. The flower seems to lack an indefinable something and is not convincing. It is beautifully fragrant. Colour is best early, does not hold well in hot weather, and at present (February) is more magenta than red.

Aroma The early blooms faded badly, and were neither pink, nor red. Later, however, they improved considerably, and were a light bright crimson, very showy, with a sweet fragrance. The growth is strong and free. Should do best in a cool season.

New Roses 1932. Aroma HT. (B. R. Cant & Sons 1931) F. 3. Bright red flowers of semi-double character resembling in a number of respects 'Etoile de Hollande'. The name is quite appropriate as the variety possesses a rich sweet fragrance, while it is a good average grower and a free blooming variety as well. E.

New Roses 1932. Aroma (HT. B. R. Cant & Sons 1931) Bud large, ovoid; flower large, double, very lasting, extremely fragrant, crimson, borne several together on medium length stem. Foliage abundant, large, rich green, disease resistant. Vigorous and bushy growth; profuse continuous bloomer all season. 4/- each.
After the style of 'Etoile de Hollande' but a brighter red. Aptly named. Recommended.
