It is often listed simply as Faust. It is a seedling from 'Masquerade' with deep yellow, shapely, semi-double blooms deepening as the flowers age. Very vigorous growth with high disease resistance and profuse bloom. It has scored many honours and caused a sensation whenever exhibited.

Le 11 septembre 1956, à l'Exposition d'Automne de la National Rose Society, le Prix International du Président fut attribué à la Rose « Docteur Faust » Floribunda jaune citron, comme étant la nouvelle rose de semis la meilleure de l'année. Cette charmante variété semi-double a été obtenue par le Dr Wilhelm Kordes, en Allemagne et exposée par Mrs Samuel Mc Gredy et Fils.
