Paul Cezanne (Delbard 1992). Modern Shrub. if you are like me and dislike striped roses with a passion - this is a great two-toned rose without the striking contrast of definite stripes. The petals are ruffled around the edges; they are yellow at the base and then become a dusty pink colour which has swirls of yellow through some of the petals with no two roses looking exactly the same. The bush is compact growing to a height of 150 cm and produces an abundance of flowers in clusters. The flowers look great in a vase on their own or mixed with yellow roses. Mine is growing next to 'Julia's Rose' in a garden bed and I find the two bushes compliment each other as the colours work well together.

Paul Cezanne (JACdeli). Modern, large-flowered hybrid tea. Yellow Blend. Repeat flowering.
The flowers of this variety are made up of petals that are basically yellow and deep coral, but each one has a different combinati0on of stripes or dots, and some petals are divided half and half between the two shades. Like 'Picasso', 'Old Master' and other curiously colored roses with their names linked to painters, this is an interesting rose and will make a talking point in the garden. The blooms are of medium size, full-petalled, and have a moderate fragrance. They appear singly or in clusters, on short stems, continuing through summer and autumn. it grows to average height with a bushy habit. Some growers consider 'Paul Cezanne' to be a cluster-flowered Rose'. Zones 4-9. Jackson and Perkins, USA, 1992. Parentage unknown.
