1940 W. E. Lippiatt p9 Climbing Roses Love Climbing HT (Mallerin). Brilliant scarlet red, a very constant colour. Continuous bloomer, flowers born 3 to 5 together. Very fragrant. A splendid climber with healthy persistent foliage. Recommended for its new style, fragrance and brilliant colouring. Very fine.

This rose is a lovely grandiflora. The canes have a reddish cast to them and the buds are lovely with their silver reverse. It puts up quite a lot of flowers - the finished form of the flower is sadly not all that lovely, but it is a vigorous rose in the mid-Atlantic area.
