2011 David Austin catalog stated Evelyn has having 100 petals, versus only 70 petals in Abraham Darby. Pic. is my 12th-year own root Evelyn, never see blackspots on it versus my Abe. Darby has blackspots in late RAINY fall.

2011 David Austin catalog stated Evelyn has having 100 petals, versus only 70 petals in Abraham Darby. I can stick my nose 24/7 into Evelyn bloom with its sweetest peach scent. Pic. is my 12th-year own root Evelyn, I like its peachy scent better than Abraham Darby (a bit sharp grapefruit scent).

This pic. was taken from 2011 David Austin Catalog which shows the exposed inner stamens which makes Evelyn scent so powerful: 3 blooms can perfume the entire room with its fresh peaches scent. Powerful like Nahema, but with a sweet peach scent.
