The Plant Patent for ‘Pink Showers’ opens to an African Violet.
There is nothing about a Plant Patent for this rose in the American Rose Annuals 1972 to 1977, that I can see.

Evidently incorrect patent info in MR 8. No alternative patent found and patent deleted.
