Tasogare does not have anything like a strong fragrance. It has a delicate fragrance when it first blooms which disappears as the flower ages. Still, it has charming semi-double blooms in a colour which is utterly beguiling and quite distinct from all my other mauve roses. I have two which are quite compact in my cold climate (one is in a pot) but I have also seen it in a public garden as an attractive standard.
