The Gardening Bulletin E & W Hackett Limited Adelaide South Australia April 1, 1937 page 93 Rose Notes Katherine Pechtold Absolutely outstanding, and one of the best introductions of recent years. Pointed buds of old gold and bronzy orange, which develop to full, shapely blooms of a lovely coppery-orange flushed with rose-pink and golden yellow. Sweet clove pink fragrance. A decided acquisition, and such as must become a favourite.

It is possibly a long shot. But does anyone grow it still in Australia?

The Gardening Bulletin E & W Hackett Limited Adelaide South Australia May 2, 1938 page 103 The Roses by "Dog Rose" Katherine Pechtold One of the best introductions in roses of recent years, and a variety that must become extremely popular. A vigorous-growing sort with a strong bushy habit of growth, producing its flowers very freely on strong, rigid stems. Pointed buds of old gold and bronzy orange, opening to full, shapely blooms of a lovely coppery-orange flushed with rose-pink and gold, and having a sweet clove-like fragrance.

Thanks Pat. Both references added. (ps - I sent you three emails this afternoon to your hot mail account, but all three were returned. You are not listed as accepting HelpMeFind Private Messages either. so am pleased to make contact in this indirect way.)

Patricia I don't understand why the emails might have been returned as I received others from rose friends this afternoon. Plus I thought I could get private HMF messages but will check further.
