‘Ambridge Rose’/AUSwonder: Arbuste - tons abricot, remontant. ...bouquets de fleurs rondes et bien pleines, aux pétales étroitement imbriqués… éclosent en coupe, puis s’évasent en rosettes plutôt lâches, le coloris passant de l’abricot pur à un rose abricoté pâlissant sur les bords. La végétation est basse, buissonnante et dressée, le feuillage vert sombre et légèrement brillant. Le nom de ce rosier est un clin d’oeil à une émission radiophonique fort appréciée des Britanniques, “The Archers” mettant en scène le milieu rural anglais. A la demande de la BBC, un épisode à l’émission fit dialoguer l’un des personnages avec l’obtenteur du rosier, lors d’une visite à l’exposition floral de Chelsea. Austin, UK, 1990.

The flowers are medium-sized and apricot-pink in color, becoming a very soft pale pink towards the edges... named at the request of the BBC for their ever-popular radio serial "The Archers"... a tough, free-flowering and altogether trouble-free rose...
