Ludwigs Roses says says this rose was recently awarded gold medals in the rose trials of Geneva and Baden-Baden, silver medals in Kortrik and Monza and the certificate of merit in St. Albans. Ludwig predicts that this rose will soon rival 'Iceberg' in popularity with Landscape Architects.

The Peter Beales Collection of Classic Roses 2000-2001 says Berkshire has clusters of semi-double, dusky pink blooms with golden stamens.
