Happy Days (Macseatri) Hybrid Tea 1988. Parentage: [(Unnamed Poulsen Seedling x 'Picasso') x 'Paradise']... [The blooms] are produced in large enough clusters for it almost to pass as a Floribunda... The unnamed Poulsen seedling was a bizarre bicolour Floribunda of cream with scarlet tips to the petals. [McGredy] had thought the combination of that and 'Picasso' would have given [him] something absolutely wild!

Final Analysis 1991-1992.
'Happy Days' (MACseatri). McGredy 1988. (Poulsen seedling x 'Picasso') x 'Paradise'; pink blend; 23 reports on 25 bushes; 1-4 years; 1 metre; 7.4 rating. Not widely grown by our reporters, those that have seem reasonably pleased with the performance of this rose over the years. They report a very hea1thy low growing bush, sometimes subject to rust. The blooms are small, more often borne in clusters and pink and silver tonings with very little fade. It has been likened to 'Pink Parfait' in size and colour. The repeat is very good and blooms last well when picked. All in all a very good healthy garden rose, probably more like a floribunda than HT.

'Happy Days'. MACseatri. McGredy 1988; pink cream (Poulsens Seedling x 'Picasso') x 'Paradise'; 4 reports on 4 bushes; 2-4 years; 1.0 metres; 7.2 rating. More FL than HT, blooms always in clusters. Blooms are neat, colour is good and has very little fade. Repeat is fast. Blooms last well when picked. It is also fragrant. Rust can be a worry in dry areas. All in all, an attractive colourful rose for the garden.

Don Sheppard. Review of Newer Roses for 1989-90 Season. Hybrid Teas.
'Happy Days' MACseatri; McGredy 1988 (Poulsen Seedling x 'Picasso') x 'Paradise'; pink/cream; 6 reports; 6 bushes; 1-2 years; 1m; 6.9 rating. South Island reports say it is more a floribunda than HT, as blooms are always in clusters. Bloom form and repeat are good. The bush is small, but generally vigorous, Franklin being the exception. Blackspot worries it in the wet, cooler country behind Timaru. A pleasing rose for most, however.
