Origin:
Bred by Couturier fils (France, 1850).
Introduced in France by Eugène Verdier fils aîne in 1854 as 'Madame Vidot'.
Introduced in Australia by John Baptist in 1861 as 'Madame Vidot'.
Class:
Hybrid Perpetual, Portland.  
Bloom:
Blush, silver(y) shading, pink highlights, lighter reverse.  Average diameter 3.25".  Medium to large, full (26-40 petals), expanded , scalloped bloom form.  Occasional repeat later in the season.  Large, glandular sepals, leafy sepals, rounded buds.  
Habit:
Armed with thorns / prickles, mounded, upright.  Light green foliage.  3 to 7 leaflets.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer.
