Discovered by Chaplin Bros., Ltd (United Kingdom, 1931).
Introduced in Australia by Hazlewood Bros. Pty. Ltd. in 1933 as 'Crimson Conquest'.
Class:
Climber, Hybrid Tea, Cl., Hybrid Wichurana.  
Bloom:
Crimson, scarlet shading, golden-yellow stamens.  Moderate, fruity fragrance.  Average diameter 2.75".  Medium, semi-double (9-16 petals), in small clusters, ruffled bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Tall, climbing.  Large, glossy foliage.  

Height: 14¾' to 16'5" (450 to 500cm).  Width: up to 8' (up to 245cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Can be used for garden or pillar.  Vigorous.  drought resistant.
