Bred by Nicola Welter (Germany, 1900).
Introduced in Australia by C. H. Halstead in 1904 as 'Apotheker Georg Höfer'.

Bloom:

Red, copper shading. Strong, sweet fragrance. Very large, very full (41+ petals), in small clusters, high-centered bloom form. Blooms in flushes throughout the season.
