In the description of HMF of this rose, describes her as an occasional re-flowering, Duarte de Oliveira I do not know, how it behaves in northern Europe or elsewhere, but I want to point out that in Italy (center), its flowering is continuous. It is never without flowers.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. I have added a REFERENCE from Mondern Roses 12 which confirms other RERFERENCES on the rose page that the rose does repeat.

It 'a duty on my part, through the cultivation in different parts of the world we can add useful information, for all the fans and also for those who study the behavior of a particular variety of rose.

Mark..... thank you. it is through site member participation that errors are found in the HMF database, but you are correct in that roses are so variable the habit of a rose might be reported differently in other parts of the world.

I can confirm that it has repeated flowering in Switzerland.

It 'been a single episode, or is there a real re-flowering?
Here at the center of Italy, is already the second year that we grow Duarte d. O. and the re-flowering is continuous, even in these days of great heat.
thanks

Mark,

So far, I haven't found any REFERENCE that says "continuous flowering", but that can vary by climate or a weather cycle. And in older REFERENCES, it used to mean that the plant rebloomed in fall. Whatever, everything I've read so far says it's a good rose for the garden.

Your COMMENTS are archived on the rose page, so other site users will always be able to read about your experience with the rose. Thank you for contributing.
