Book (1984) Page(s) 143, Pl. 3. Includes photo(s). Golden Times HT Raised by Cocker, Aberdeen, Scotland. Introduced 1970. Parentage Fragrant Cloud x Golden Splendour. Clear lemon yellow. Large well-shaped blooms often as big as 12.5 cm (5 in) across and of exhibition standard. A good quantity of petals (around forty) to ensure good quality flowers without impairing its ability to open without gumming up in a wet season. Sweetly scented for a yellow rose. Sturdy plants with disease-resistant glossy foliage. Medium, branching habit.

An English friend. sent me budwood of this cultivar in late 1973, after I had admired it in his garden earlier that year. It is a beautifully formed cultivar with very high pointed blooms of bright sulphur colouring. The young unopened petals are red. Vigorous with light green foliage. It bloomed late in spring 1976, but never before.

The pointed red buds open to long-lasting, light yellow (not golden) blooms of excellent form on long stems. They can be six inches in diameter when fully opened. Strong perfume. Vigorous.

A yellow flowered Hybrid Tea, by Cocker, with a very strong scent indeed. This seedling was my own second choice for the Henry Edland Memorial Medal but no award was made this year.
