Hmmm. More volunteer pruning duties in the offing perhaps. I wonder if there is still a plant at the closed Hilltop Nursery. And I wonder if Golden Vale still has their mother plant. Has David Ruston lost his plant?

Argus 26th March 1932 A new Australian rose, grown and exhibited by Messrs. George Knight and Sons, was shown at the Sydney Show. It has been named 'Miss Australia'. It is a show type of flower, straight in the stem and strong in foliage, and it has a light, rosy flesh colour.

American ROse Annual 1932 'Miss Australia' H.T. (G.Knight & Sons 1933) Dame Edith Helen X Mme Segond Weber. Type; Dame Edith Helen. Bud globular; flower very large, extremely double (50 petals), globular, unusually lasting, intensely fragrant, pink, salmon centre, on long, strong stem. Foliage thick. Very vigorous; free bloomer.
