Habit:

Height: 4' to 4¼' (120 to 130cm).  Width: 4' to 5' (120 to 150cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 5b through 10b.  Requires spring freeze protection (see glossary - Spring freeze protection) .  Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection).

Notes:
The Plant Science Dept. of the Nova Scotia Agriculture College evaluated 58 English Roses to assess their hardiness and disease-resistance. Their results can be found at: http://www.nsac.ns.ca/nsac/ps/annual96/mapple.htm. Lilian Austin was found to be reasonably tolerant to blackspot, as well as winter hardy.
