Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1897 as 'Madame Joseph Bonnaire'.

Bloom:
Pink, silver(y) reverse.  Very large, very double, cupped-to-flat bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Upright.  

Height: 4'11" to 5'11" (150 to 180cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Vigorous.

Notes:
[From The Old Rose Advisor, by Brent C. Dickerson, p. 282:] Mons Joseph Bonnaire, dead at the age of 68. Born at Saint-Chef (Isère) in 1842, Bonnaire went while still quite young to Lyon where he worked at the establishments of Damaizin and Ducher, going then to Paris... [At length, he returned to Lyon] where he ultimately set up shop in 1878.
