Kordes Perfecta x Belle Blonde

From the patent:

My invention relates to a new and distinct variety of rose plant of the Hybrid Tea class originated by me as the result of a breeding program using Kordes Perfecta (U.S. Plant Pat. No. 1,604) as the seed parent and Belle Blonde as the pollen parent. This new variety initially has been designated 75 R 13. The variety name for this new variety is "Fireside".

This rose is planted in the Norfolk Botanical Garden and is a truly striking color. Looking at the breeding-- that's no surprise! Hope someone with a digital camera can photograph it and post photos. This rose is much too nice to disappear from commerce.
