‘Tania Verstak’. Modern, large-flowered Hybrid Tea. Medium red. Repeat-flowering. This rose was named after a former Miss Australia, who has since created one of the loveliest gardens in Australia; the rose named after her does not do her justice! The large buds open to huge blooms of 60 dull red petals. The flowers come on long stems on an upright bush and ball in cool wet weather. There is some fragrance. Although the flower production is sparse, given dry weather conditions the flowers can be lovely; they last very well when cut. The foliage is light green, dull and profuse. Zones 5-10.
