Bloom:
Pink, purple shading, lighter reverse. Moderate fragrance. Average diameter 2". Medium, single (4-8 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Habit:
Short, armed with thorns / prickles, bushy, spreading, suckers on its own roots, upright. Small, dark green foliage.
Height: 8" to 1' (20 to 30cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default). Shade tolerant.

Notes:
Rosa gallica var. pumila (Jacq.) Ser. Mél. bot. 1(1): 37. 1818. R. pumila is a dwarf variety of R. gallica L. which Lindley has made a synonym. IOPI recognizes however R. gallica var. pumila as a separate taxon.
