Book (1980) Page(s) 128. 'Geisha Girl' 1965. 'Gold Cup' x 'McGredy's Yellow'. Tall, but bushy and uniform, with mid-green leaves. large flowers open flat, golden-yellow with occasional red streaks on reverse in the early stages. The yellow fades to cream.
Book (1971) Page(s) 70. Includes photo(s). Plate 105. 'Geisha Girl' is the name of this hybrid tea. The flower is double, perfectly formed and an intense, glowing yellow. The leaves are dark green and shiny or else have a coppery tinge.
Book (1966) Page(s) 19. E. F. Allen. Awards to New Rose Seedlings in Great Britain in 1965. Trial ground Certificate to: 'Geisha Girl' ('Gold Cup' x 'McGredy's yellow'). A tall growing Floribunda, by Sam McGredy, with freely-produced clusters of yellow flowers which have a moderate scent. In most years it will probably require spray protection against leaf diseases.
