Token comes from Montgomery, the raiser of 'Hadley'. It has Pernet breeding, and is only moderate in growth so far, with some nice blooms, pink, flushed orange. This variety may also improve later.

New Roses 1936.  Token (HT. Montgomery Co. 1933) The full, double flowers are a single toned glowing orange. A free bloomer with an upright habit of growth and glossy green, disease resistant foliage.  4/- each. 
Aged blooms fade to pale pink. 25 to 35 petals.

Token is another brand-new rose that "done me wrong." It might be great in the hothouse, but in the garden it was a washout.

The last and one of the best of the fancy shades is Montgomery's Token, an American Rose which has made a lot of friends. The colour is apricot-orange shading to golden-pink; very lovely when first opening. It has Mme. Butterfly and Premier blood, so should have a future under glass.
