Origin:
Bred by Alain Meilland (1940-....) (France, before 1962).
Introduced in France by URS (Universal Rose Selection)-Meilland in 1962 as 'New Style'.
Introduced by Unknown (Australia) in 1965 as 'New Style'.
Class:
Hybrid Tea.  
Bloom:
Crimson, dark red shading.  Mild fragrance.  25 petals.  Large, full (26-40 petals), button-eye bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Bushy.  Glossy, leathery foliage.  
Growing:
USDA zone 6b through 9b (default).  Very vigorous.  Disease susceptibility: very disease resistant.  Prune lightly or not at all.
