Nola Simpson. Final analysis 1996-97.
'Tiny Tot' (Bentintot, 'Zesty'); Benardella; apricot pink; 15 reports on 25 plants; 40 cms; 7.4 rating. Not many reporting on this true miniature rose, does not find favour with those into the 'big 'uns'. It is an exquisite little miniature rose with lovely exhibition form that holds, the foliage is small and petite to match, habit is tallish and upright, powdery mildew prone. The colour is a creamy apricot pink, deeper on the outer petals, very appealing. Bay of Plenty finds the repeat slow and the plant not vigorous enough. it has not been helped by a number of virused plants circulating.

Nola Simpson. Review of Newer Roses for 1995-96 Season.
'Tiny Tot' (BENtintot); Benardella; apricot pink; 5 reports on 9 plants; 2-5 years; 40cms; 7.1 rating. Not much change from last year and only a few reports. It is not finding favour because it is a true miniature rose and a Manawatu makes the observation that it has exquisite form but many show judges pass it by on account of the small size. Northland commends its flower production. Bay of Plenty says it is not vigorous, slow repeat, healthy and pink apricot exhibition blooms. Another from Manawatu says beautifully formed exhibition blooms in soft apricot pink of min size, plant grows tall and upright with rnedium green foliage in keeping with the blooms. Can be prone to powdery mildew.

Nola Simpson. Review of Newer Roses for 1994-95 Season.
'Tiny Tot' (BENtintot); Benardella; apricot pink; 5 reports on 9 plants; 1-2 years; 40cms; 7.2 rating. Just a few reports on this new true miniature rose. A Manawatu grower asks 'can a mini be too small' ! exquisite HT form, good plant habit, everything right except the size factor. Bay of Plenty says it is not vigorous enough and true to name tiny all right, made little growth. A Tokoroa grower says blooms a lovely shape and healthy. Another grower from Manawatu likes the soft apricot pink colour, excellent exhibition form and not too large, upright growth habit, dark foliage. Shows promise but prone to powdery mildew. I do not see why small miniatures should be marked down, in my opinion they are more appealing than the big coarse ones!
