Billy - Your photo of 'Marie Christina' looks rather more double, than the semi-double that Melville said in their 1997 and 1998 references.
On the plus side, it does seem to have the dark foliage referenced in 1998.

Yes - Everything crossed that there is no mistake here.
I counted the petals of that bloom this morning and there were 25, so perhaps it is not as full as the photo suggests? The petals fell as I was trying to arrange it for a photo this morning.
Wanted to show how it had opened out to reveal its stamens etc. It also lost the vermillion tone and was a more definite pink.
The petals have a yellow nub.
If the petal number varies a little we could expect it to be fuller in cold weather.

The person who sold me the rose knew it well and was very enthusiastic about it. She said it is a wonderful rose to grow in a pot - that she has been growing two in large grey pots for some time and that they are generous and beautiful and give her much joy.

I think this is the rose named after Roy Rumsey's second Granddaughter, Marie-Christina.

Glennis, I have been unable to find anything further on 'Marie Christina'. There are a couple of references which say it is a Kordes rose. However, Kordes do not know of a rose by that name. If anybody knows of a Code name, that would help.
