This rose seems to be mislabelled, they say in the very first early reference that he have « large, globular flowers, with large petals of a brilliant crimson, tinted with violet, a rose in the style of Gênéral Jacqueminot » that completely doesn’t match to what that is displayed in photo here and in commerce. The paintings also show another rose.
