Notes:
Moreau-Robert named this rose to honor President Lincoln in the year of his death... the old-fashioned blooms are a bright rose red. Abraham Lincoln was born on February 12, 1809 and was assasinated April 15, 1865.
The pink-lilac rose in commerce, is not the original crimson red, shaded black version.
