Though the introduction of new roses in 1915 did not appear to decline, fewer roses from that year remain on the market. Not even the hybrid tea ‘Lillian Moore’, which won the $1000 prize for best seedling at the Panama-Pacific International Exposition in San Francisco in 1915, has survived.

Lillian Moore (H.T., Hugh Dickson). A Rose of vigorous growth, with clear deep-green foliage which is mildew proof. The blooms are very large and double, of imbricated form, while the buds are long and pointed, opening well in all weathers, and are very sweetly perfumed. The colour is pure yellow, shaded to deep cadmium yellow.  It is a fine thoroughly perpetual bedding and garden rose perhaps best described as a greatly improved Mrs. Aaron Ward.   This Rose was awarded  the $1,000 prize as the best new Rose at the Panama Pacific Exhibition by unamimous vote of the International Jury.  It will be placed in commerce in June, 1917.

Lillian Moore . Awarded the Thousand Dollar Prize at the Panama Pacific Exposition. This is a garden gem with flowers of exquisite form and delightful fragrance. It is deep, pure Indian yellow in colour with slightly deeper centre. The flowers are large and very full, of perfect camellia shape, carried on stiff erect stems with handsome, clean deep olive green foliage. The buds are very long and pointed, opening freely in all weathers and lasting a long time in good condition. The habit of the plant is all that could be desired, free, vigorous and branching, making a strong bush of about 2 1/2 feet in height. It is thoroughly perpetual in habit; from early season right to its close it produces in abundance a wealth of blooms of glowing colour and perfect shape (a malformed flower is a rarity). A superb rose for every purpose.
